The Huia Feather earrings are made from NZ Rimu wood, laser cut in their unique Huia design, hand painted and are approx. 7cm long. The hooks are stainless steel.
The huia feather is a revered treasure for Māori and symbolises leadership and mana. The feathers from the tail of the huia were particularly prized and were worn in the hair or around the neck by both men and women.
While the earrings are finished with beeswax they are not designed to be worn swimming or in the shower.
